SKY 6K

Welcome to the shorter but equally exciting route of the Mexico Sky Challenge! With a route designed near the charming city of Orizaba. The Sky 6k is an explosion of culture, nature and, of course, fun.

Technical Characteristics of the Route:

  • Total distance: 6 kilometers of pure adventure.
  • Elevation difference: 370 positive meters and 370 negative meters. Who said less is easier? Get ready for a challenge that will make you feel every meter of the climb.
  • Altitude Range: From 1236 meters to 1554 meters above sea level. A climb that will make you feel on top of the world (or at least Orizaba)!

Technical Level:
Medium, perfect for those who want to test their skills without compromising on fun.
Surface and Land:
From trails to roads that wind between incredible peaks. Get ready for a unique experience in lush vegetation and varied terrain.

Natural and Ecological Aspects:

Flora and Fauna: It’s like running in a live nature documentary! Keep your eyes open for diverse wildlife.

The Sky 6 K route of the “Mexico Sky Challenge” is an invitation to live the excitement of Skyrunning in an environment full of culture, natural beauty and, most importantly, a lot of fun!

IMPORTANT: In case of abandonment, disqualification or arriving after the time cut, the runner’s number will be removed and/or marked.

PROFILE

NOTE: In case of adverse weather, the recommended equipment will be activated.

  • Mobile phone: with the battery fully charged, roaming activated and on throughout the test.
  • Thermal blanket: minimum surface that covers the body completely.
  • Windbreaker jacket: waterproof and breathable.
  • Whistle: the one with the backpack
  • Bottles, tank or bag (soft flask type) for water or hydrating drinks: with a minimum capacity of 1.5 liters.
  • Glass or container for liquids: at supply points there will be no disposable cups in order to avoid generating garbage ;
  • Competitor’s (dorsal) number: placed visibly, in front and above the clothing throughout the test.
  • Footwear: suitable for running on technical terrain mountain.
  • Canes: for mountain areas.
  • Front light: in perfect working order and with charged batteries.
  • Buff

  • Electrolytes and/or mineral salts, bars, gels, fruit…
  • Mini first aid kit, with material to heal small wounds, cuts or grazes, as well as antihistamines (avapena), anti-inflammatories and analgesics.< /span>
